Prohibited goods and services
Companies that want to put the Yandex Pay button on their website must follow these rules. Yandex reserves the right to unilaterally change the list of prohibited goods and services.
Yandex may refuse to connect a site to Yandex Pay if the site:
- Breaks a law or doesn't follow legal requirements in some other way.
- Is fraudulent.
- Violates someone's intellectual property rights, the right to publicity, or the right to privacy.
- Sells goods, works, or services whose sale is restricted or prohibited by current Russian law.
- Arms, ammunition, military machinery, spare parts, component parts and devices, explosive items and devices, all types of rocket fuel, special supplies and equipment for the production of rocket fuel, special equipment for paramilitary organizations, and standard technical documentation for the production and use of the above.
- Rocket launch sites, military communication and management systems, and standard technical documentation for their production and use.
- Chemical warfare agents, protective equipment, and standard technical documentation for their production and use.
- The results of research, development, project work, and fundamental exploratory studies on the production of arms and military machinery.
- Services, works, and supplies that are related to military and paramilitary service.
- All types of arms, including hunting and civilian, component parts, and knives (except kitchen knives, penknives, and utility knives).
- Radioactive substances and their isotopes, uranium, other fissionable materials, and items made from them.
- Radioactive waste.
- Precious and rare-earth metals, precious gems, and waste that contains precious and rare-earth metals and precious gems.
- X-ray equipment and other devices and equipment that contain radioactive elements and their isotopes.
- Poisons, narcotic and psychotropic substances, and their precursors.
- Ethanol and alcoholic beverages.
- Prescription, narcotic, psychotropic, and alcohol-containing (ethanol volume ratio more than 25%) medication and alcohol-based balms.
- Pharmaceutical raw materials that are obtained from reindeer herding (velvet antlers and endocrine material).
- Tobacco or vaping products.
- Ciphering equipment and standard technical documentation for its production and use.
- Counterfeit money.
- Foreign currency, other monetary valuables, and Russian coins and bank notes in circulation.
- Radioelectronic and technical devices for private communication, as well as high-frequency devices that consist of one or multiple radio transmitters and/or their combinations and supplementary equipment for sending and receiving radio waves at a frequency higher than 8 GHz.
- Materials and services that violate the right to privacy, encroach upon the honor, dignity, and business reputation of other persons and legal entities, or contain state, bank, trade, or other secrets.
- State decorations of the Russian Federation, Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, and Soviet Union, as well as their copies.
- State identity papers, emblems, passes, permissions, travel documents and licences, and other documents that grant rights, take away rights, or exempt from responsibilities, blank forms for such documents, and services for obtaining them.
- Cultural and archaeological heritage objects of the peoples of the Russian Federation.
- Human organs and tissues, and donor services.
- Animals and plants in the Red Data Books of the Russian Federation and its subjects, parts and organs of animals in the Red Data Books of the Russian Federation and its subjects, and animals and plants that are protected by international treaties of the Russian Federation.
- Skins and articles made from skins of rare and endangered animal species according to the current law of the Russian Federation.
- Fishing nets, materials and services for their production, electric-powered fishing rods and traps whose sale is forbidden in the Russian Federation.
- Extremist materials and materials that contain calls for mass disturbances, terrorist and extremist activities, mass public events, or incitement of ethnic and religious hatred.
- Items with Nazi symbols or symbols of organizations that are forbidden in Russia.
- Counterfeit or stolen items.
- Databases, including ones containing personal data that may be used for unauthorized mailing.
- Information that's transmitted only virtually and isn't recorded on any material carrier (for example, ideas, methods, or principles).
- Gambling and lottery equipment, online gambling and betting services, accepting payments for lottery tickets, receipts, and other documents certifying one's right to participate in the lottery, and selling virtual currency.
- Vehicle documents and state numbers.
- Goods whose circulation violates the intellectual rights of third parties (including patents, trademarks, and copyrights).
- Investment services, operations with money and cryptocurrencies, and goods and services whose purchase or use is guaranteed to provide earnings or profit.
- The goods and services realized by a multilevel network marketing organization whose activity is based on the creation of a network of independent distributors or marketing agents.
- Intimate, erotic, or sexual services and/or work, and erotic or pornographic materials.
- Goods or services that may be used to violate the current laws of the Russian Federation.
- Goods or services that don't exist or don't have any consumer value.
- Transcendental and alternative medicine services.
- Services for replacing the license software or breaking the technical protection that's installed by the copyright holder on smartphones, laptops, navigators, personal computers, and other devices.
- Other products or services whose sale is prohibited or restricted by Russian law and may affect the business reputation of Yandex and/or international payment systems.
- Injection drugs, solutions, and substances used in making them.
- Services, works, and supplies that are related to occult organizations and sects.
- Goods and services sold by companies that are organized as Ponzi schemes.
- Antiques.
- Dietary supplements. Dietary supplements can only be sold in pharmacies (stores and kiosks), specialized health food stores, and grocery stores with special departments.
- Term papers and theses sold online.
- Anonymous work (for example, as a cache filler).
- Copies and replicas of original goods.
